The shop sells costumes, storage and warp tickets. Every piece of gear that matters drops in game, and always will.
War of Emperium
First edition Saturdays 20:00, second edition Wednesdays 21:00. Castles held by inactive guilds go back on the board.
Quality of life
@go, @autoloot, @storage and @refresh. Cart and Kafra from anywhere. The grind is the game; the walking is not.
MVPs on a timer
Spawn times are published, not guessed. Endless Tower, Nidhoggur and Old Glast Heim all run.
Party friendly
Shared experience across the whole map, not a screen. Leech is capped so a party is people playing, not one person watching.
Staff you can reach
Tickets answered the same day, events most weekends, and every change written down in the changelog.
Experience
5x base and job, static — no level penalty, so a red monster is still worth killing at 90. Quests give their official rewards, which at these rates means the Eden board is a real way to level rather than a footnote.
Drops
3x on equipment and consumables. Cards are left at official rates: a card is supposed to be the story you tell for a week, and 3x turns it into an afternoon. MVP cards drop where they always did.
Refining
Safe to +4, official odds after that. Blacksmith blessing is available from the Eden board, and enriched ores exist but are not sold for cash.
PvP
Open in the arenas and during WoE, nowhere else. Nothing you can buy makes you stronger there.

Is it free?
Yes. The account, the client and every piece of gear in the game. The shop sells costumes and convenience.

Pre-renewal, episode 13.2. Trans classes, no third jobs, and the old damage formulas.
Can I solo?
To 99, yes. MVPs and instances want a party, and the party finder is in the Eden group room.
Where is the server?
Frankfurt, Germany, on dedicated hardware with DDoS filtering in front of it. Roughly 20 ms from Western Europe, 40–70 ms from Eastern Europe and Turkey, 100–120 ms from the east coast of North America, and 180–220 ms from Brazil and South East Asia. Anything under 150 ms plays fine, War of Emperium included.
What do I need to download?
One full client, about 3.5 GB, patcher included. No separate kRO install and no data folder to hunt down. Windows 10 and 11; it runs under Wine and on a Mac too, and there is a guide for each in Discord.
Can I run more than one client?
Two at a time, so a merchant or a support does not cost you a second computer. Past that it is off, and so is anything that plays a character for you — no bots, no packet tools, no rotation macros. Those bans cover the machine, not just the account.
Will the server wipe?
No. Nothing has been wiped and nothing is planned. If that ever had to change it would be said months ahead, not on the day.
What happens if I stop playing for a while?
Your account, your characters and their names stay as you left them. The only thing inactivity costs is a castle: a guild that does not defend one for four weeks puts it back on the board.
Something is broken, or somebody is cheating
Bugs go in #issues on Discord. Anything touching another player's account goes through a ticket here on the control panel instead, where it stays private. Both are answered the same day.
